The German postal code (PLZ) is five digits, such as 10115 for Berlin. The first digit sets one of ten routing zones. An address carries the street (Straße) and house number, then the PLZ and city. The country divides into sixteen federal states (Bundesland). This generator matches the PLZ to the state and builds numbers on the +49 plan: mobiles begin with 015, 016 or 017.
